How it works - The walking coaching experience

Purpose

This session combines movement, reflection, and focused coaching to help you slow down, be fully present, and think differently about a challenge, question, or goal that matters to you

Sounds Interesting?

If you are not sure what coaching is or how it can help you this is a great way to put your toe in the water and try it out. I offer a small number of slots each month and really enjoy meeting new people through the experience.

Structure

The experience follows a structured seven-segment approach lasting about one hour in total.

The first three segments (4-5 minutes each) are reflective walks designed to help you arrive fully in the moment. The intent is to notice your surroundings and become more aware of the here and now.

The next four segments (5-8 minutes each) use a sequence of reflective, growth and change orientated questions that guide you through understanding, exploring, and reframing the challenge, question or blockage you’re working on.

Each segment begins with a brief explanation and a few questions posed. We then disconnect while you walk in silence and reflect. When the time is up, I’ll call you back, and we’ll briefly discuss what you observed or discovered before moving onto the next segment.

Client Reviews

“The real win here is getting your clients away from their computers and home environment and into nature, thus giving the session 100% attention and get the full value of your time. It is impossible to avoid all distractions at home or in the office (IM's, emails being received during sessions). I found the combination of fresh air, deep thinking, and coaching feedback genuinely quite liberating. I felt reinvigorated when i got home! :)”

“The walking style helped isolate me to think clearly about a particular problem - I also liked the first couple of exercises as a way of focusing and shutting out distractions. The insight I took away was about where I should be targeting myself in my career - focusing on what I am good at and tmakes me happy rather than chasing status.”

“The Walking Coach Experiment allowed me to be in the moment, so the first part of the session was very useful. The other 'sessions' allowed me to bring internal reflections to the surface which was very useful.”
