ERA Consulting is led by Erlend Asker, a coach and business leader who has spent decades walking in the shoes of those he now supports. With deep operational experience and leadership insight, Erlend has led global teams of up to 1,000 people, held full P&L responsibility, and steered organisations through transformation, acquisitions, and the everyday challenges of leading at scale. His career includes senior roles at high-growth and enterprise software companies such as IFS, Software AG, Sun Microsystems, SeeBeyond, and Sybase.

But titles and achievements only tell part of the story. What truly drives Erlend is helping people and organisations discover what they are capable of—especially when the path ahead feels uncertain. In 2024, he founded ERA Consulting to follow this passion full-time: empowering leaders and teams to move from good to great through a unique blend of commercial acumen, coaching expertise, and lived experience.

His work spans executive coaching, leadership team development, and business consulting. Whether it’s helping a senior leader regain clarity and confidence, or guiding a team through cultural or strategic transformation, Erlend brings a calm presence, sharp insight, and proven methods to unlock potential and drive meaningful change.

Erlend is qualified at ILM Level 7 in Executive Coaching and Mentoring and holds a BSc in Mathematics and Computer Science. He works with a range of coaching models—GROW, STEPPA, OSCAR—drawing also from Gestalt, collaborative coaching, and CliftonStrengths to support growth at both the individual and organisational level.
